CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC RENEWAL (CCR)

This movement is believed to have been started on 15th Feb. 1967, when the students of the Catholic American University of Duken were for a retreat at Pittsburgh. The students experienced the presence of God, love of Jesus and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. In 1969, it was approved by the Catholic Bishops in Uganda. In 1995, the movement was launched at St. Paul’s National Seminary.  Members experienced the power and the working of the Holy Spirit. The main intention of this movement at the seminary is first and foremost to make the work and gifts of Holy Spirit known to all seminarians, the laity within Fort Portal diocese in which this seminary is located.
