LEGIO MARIAE

Legio Mariae was started by Frank Duff, a native of Dublin-Ireland 1889-1980. He formed the first presidium on 7th Sept 1921. Among the aims and objectives of Legio Mariae at St. Paul’s Seminary Kinyamasika are; to fosters devotion to God through Mother Mary, to acquaint future priests with the necessary knowledge about the works of Mary and to foster pastoral insertion of pastoral agents among the youth.

The Legio Mariae at St. Paul’s Seminary has three Praesidia. Each presidium has five officers. This movement is as old as St. Paul’s Seminary since by 1993, there was already an established presidium.
